Our new party consisting of Andantino, Allegretto and Viola journey through Adagio Swamp in hopes of finding an inn that Andantino knows about nearby.
Traversing Adagio Swamp
So I basically just traversed the swamp. This place has gorgeous lighting and fun battles. I definitely did not enjoy the copious amounts of poison that seemed to keep afflicting my party.
Curse those scorpions! Thank goodness Claves can deal lots of damage to them, since they’re dark creatures and her sword is light-affine.
Let’s talk naming!
Adagio: a tempo marking indicating that music is to be played slowly; Well the music for this place fits that a bit. It feels like you should take things slowly here because everything is so peaceful and pretty to look at.
Jazz: Let’s be serious here. Jazz is the man. He’s a hot dude with two ladies working with him. Smooth Jazz….Okay to be more serious I think traditional Jazz has more of a lazy feeling to it with long drawn out brass instrument sounds and such. Jazz is pretty slow and I think he has some sort of…trombone(?) gold tubing drawn on his giant sword. The name fits him pretty well in my opinion.
Jazz is also known for involving a lot of improvisation, which I’m sure has come in useful for someone leading a resistance movement.
Falsetto: The characteristic sound of falsetto is inherently breathyand flute-like with few overtones present. I actually don’t think this name works well for her. You would think they’d pick something that’s a little more “harsh” or “fast paced” for someone like Falsetto. In fact, I think this name suits Claves’ personality more so than Falsetto’s. Maybe the breathy part (meaning the voice gets lighter and airier) is why a lot of her attacks happen in mid-air (kick flips and such)?
